Biography
Pierantonio Cinzano, PhD in Astronomy, carried out his research about "Light pollution and the protection of sites" at the Department of Astronomy of the University of Padova, Italy, until 2006 and afterwards at the Light Pollution Science and Technology Institute, ISTIL. Since 2007 he leads the seventeenth-century pharmacy "Farmacia alla Madonna" of Thiene, which belong to his family since 1805.
